The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (earlier known as National Center for Plant Genome Research is an independent establishment helped by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The Institute's foundation harmonizes with the 50th commemoration of India's autonomy just as birth commemoration of Prof. (Dr.) J. C. Bose.
